Vestiges

“Vestiges explores the traces left behind by natural processes of weathering, erosion and decay. Built from earth, natural pigments, ink and verdigris, the surfaces develop through repeated layers of material, staining and disruption.

Rather than depicting landscape, the works draw on the processes that continually alter it. Texture becomes a record of change — surfaces appear worn, fragmented and weathered, carrying the suggestion of something that has existed before and partially remains.”
