Driftmark is a contemporary abstract artwork created on reclaimed steel, part of my Continuum series exploring endurance, impermanence, and the passage of time. The steel sheet used as its foundation once formed part of a rural agricultural building, weathered for decades by the elements. Its rich patina, natural corrosion, and layered surface history bring a raw, authentic texture to the piece. By transforming this industrial material into fine art, Driftmark invites viewers to reflect on memory, landscape, and the beauty found in reclaimed and time-worn surfaces.
